How AYLAQ checks domain availability — live, against Verisign

Most domain finders 'verify' availability by checking DNS, scraping registrar websites, or relying on outdated zone snapshots. All three are wrong.

AYLAQ uses Verisign's RDAP endpoint — the authoritative source for .com registration data — to verify every result. A 404 means truly available. A 200 means taken, regardless of whether DNS resolves.

We cache responses for 30 minutes (available) or three days (taken), and we run parallel checks with backoff and timeouts. The result: most searches complete in well under three seconds.
